I don’t think Lucky likes to play or anything.  Do you?  LOL

Good morning.  Not a whole lot going on here.  The heifers are calving along and seem to may have slowed a little.  We had twins but mom was too wild to take care them both so we had to bum one.  Kirby named her Abigail.  She is really funny.  If anyone but Kirby comes in the barn she doesn’t pay them any attention.  Kirby walks in and she raises all sorts of heck.  I told him that she knows where the food comes from.  He is the only one that feeds her.  LOL

Supper tonight is  Taco Lasagna, fruit, cornbread, raw veggies and cupcakes for dessert.

Good Afternoon.  Parent teacher conferences this evening.  They don’t start until 5.  I am not thrilled.  I like it better when they started at 4.

Kirby is making hamburgers for supper.  Not sure what I will do.

Good Morning.  Quite the weekend.  Pooh had pep band for tournaments this weekend.  I truly doesn’t even feel like it was the weekend.  We were on the go so much.

On Saturday after I got home from taking Pooh to the bus Kirby radioed and said the he had stepped out to shoot at a coyote and it scared Lucky and her ran off.  So off I went to look for him.  I searched and searched and couldn’t find him.  Finally Kirby and I decided that I would start driving between the bull pasture and home to see if I could see him.  On my way  home he was sitting there looking toward home like he was looking for someone.  I called him and got him in the Explorer and came home.  I told him that I have now saved him twice and I am not doing it anymore.  He gets to stay home now so we don’t have to look for him.

This calf has a problem standing up so it he has a hard time nursing.  Don’t quite understand but it seems to work that way.  Kirby is trying to help him nurse his bottle.



This baby is less than two hours old.



And Buster.  He is a cranky thing anymore.



Supper tonight is Scampi Scallops for Kirby and me and Spaghetti for the kids.

So I finally got out and got some pics of the new calves.  It was cold out so they weren’t up and about much but I got some pics.





I was standing in a little pen taking pics and this little guy was really curious about what I was doing.  He kept coming around to look at me.  Mom wasn’t really happy about it but she didn’t try to eat me for supper or anything.  LOL



Supper tonight is sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs, and fruit.

Good Morning.  I went out yesterday and helped Kirby feed.  The hired man stayed to babysit 2 heifers that were caving.  I took lots and lots of pics but I will only torture you with a few at a time!  LOL

While Kirby was loading the trailer a few of the horses came over to investigate who or what I was.  Most of them were scared of me and the camera and stayed away.  About 3 of them came to get a few pets.  The one in the pics was the most persistent.  It is one of the hired man’s horses and I remember his name.





Not much else going on.  Pooh has pep band for basketball tournaments this weekend.  Friday is a day off of school but with tournaments going on it won’t feel like it!  LOL

Supper tonight is oven fried chicken, Peppy pasta , fruit, veggie and cupcakes for dessert.

Someone needs to remind these two they don’t like each other.  Really what happened was Daisy sneaked up there when CP was asleep and CP didn’t know she was there until I took the pic.  LOL

And so you know.  Lucky was done with his and Tiger wont sit with the rest of them to get her treats.  And Cranky Puddytat, CP, won’t eat them at all.

Good Morning.  I keep meaning to get here and some how time just gets past me and I don’t make it.

The heifers are home but no babies yet.    When they decide to come they will come all at once.  I guess that is better than having one or tow and then waiting a couple of days and having another one.  The guys might not agree though.

I have a grad party meeting tonight and then them Lodge grass game tomorrow.  That is the big rivalry in Hardin.  There are so many people that you can’t even move.  I just sit at the table and sell tickets and don’t move.

I had to check the calendar when I got home from the bus yesterday.  I couldn’t believe how the water was running from it melting.  It wouldn’t be bad if I didn’t know we will go through it again before winter is over.







Supper tonight is Spaghetti for the Kirby, Pooh, Kyra and Kohl.  I am not sure what I will have since I am waiting in Hardin for the meeting since Kirby and I are going into Billings for the Company’s taxes.
