Kirby just called. She has a major infection through her body and her
kidneys are failing. We are having to put her down. I told Kirby to pet
her for me. I am not handling this well.I have never had a cat live
this long. they always seemed to "disappear" before they could get old.We have had her since we have been married.
She was 15.

Oh, honey, I'm so sorry!! So hard when a beloved family pet dies. It's like they are part of the family.
(((Mae))) I'm so sorry. It is so difficult to say goodbye to a longtime furry friend. I've had two cats for long times: As a child Pixie was over 20, and put down after I married and had my own kitty. And that kitty, Misty, died just over 2 years ago. She was over 18. May god comfort you during this time of sadness.
