Good afternoon!  Been in town most of the day so just a quick post to tell you what Kirby and I did today.

Kirby and I were in Billings today.  Kohl had therapy and Kirby had an appointment.  We were picking up a few groceries and heading home.  Pooh calls and says that CP is really holding her ear down and shaking her head.  We told her to put her in the carrier and take her in the the vet and we will meet her there.  We get there and have to wait.  We knew we would be we didn't have an appointment.  Any way we ask about barn cats again and they said they had only had little kitten nothing a little bigger like we wanted.  While we were waiting  we saw this couple come in with 2 cats, stay a little bit and then leave.  We figured they were boarding them for the weekend.    Later we find out that the had brought the cats to be put to sleep.  They just couldn't handle them anymore.  I lady had called to ask if she could try to find them homes before they put them to sleep.  All the sudden the one gal in there says wit we might have a home for them.  Ask if we would be interested them as barn cats.  We went back and looked at them and in good shape but FAT.   We said we would try them as barn cats as long as they were fixed and we could get them rabies and distemper shots.  So guess where they are?  They are in our saddle shed hopefully getting used to their new home.  The one gall said that they couple does this about every 3 years.  They get cats when they are little and cute and then when they become cats they come and have them put to sleep.   Can you say sucker?

Look what Kirby found yesterday.

 

We have named him Tuff.  He was on his own for about 2 and a half weeks.  He took a bottle so we should be able to save him.  I know it isn't a great pic but he still isn't too sure about humans.  When he calms down a little I will try to get a better pic.

Not much going on.  I meet my SIL in Billings tomorrow to pick up Kyra and get errands run.  I trip to Billings wouldn't be complete without 6 million different errands.

Supposed to get warm here.  It is amazing that it is almost July and we haven't had a 90 degree day yet.  They say we should have our first one tomorrow.

Supper tonight is fried chicken, Peppy pasta, fruit, green salad, and something for dessert.

HELP  Pooh has developed a strange fungus on her fingers and toes.  What do we do?????

Good Afternoon!  I went missing again.  I try to get here and when I sit down to post something happens that I have to tend to right now.

Kohl helped Pooh wash the truck today.  I think Pooh washed the truck and Kohl played with the hose.  what do you think? 





Supper tonight is Hearty beans for Kirby and me and tacos for the kids.

Good Morning!  I know I disappeared again.  Sorry.  things got a little wild around here and I didn't have much time. 

The 29th Kohl had a seizure so a lot of my time has been taken up with medical tests to figure out what was going on.  After an MRI and an EEG we had our answer.  There is a big medical name for it that I can't remember but to put it simply that when he was in the womb and forming his gray brain matter and white matter didn't separate like it should of so it makes for a disorganized brain.  They could see a small abnormality in the MRI.  If there is one there is probably more but they didn't see any.  what this means if that he will probably have another seizure.  It could be tomorrow, it could be in 3 months or it could be 3 years but he will probably have another one.  We are getting some Valium that is given rectally if the seizure lasts for more than 3 minutes.  That is mostly because of the distance that we are from the ER.  We have chosen to wait on medication because it was a small seizure and he so far hasn't had anymore.  But we know that we will probably sooner or later have to. 

The stress of all of Kohl medical problems caused Kirby to get get ill and he ended up in the ER too three days after Kohl was.  It has been a mess around here.

Then this morning  I got up and there was a shoe box on the table.  I knew it wasn't there last night because Kohl job is to clean off the table after supper and when he is done there is nothing left.    I left it there and figured sooner or later I would figure it out.  Kyra got up this morning and asked if I heard the excitement last night.  i told her I must have slept through it.  It seems that a nice cat left her a present of a mouse last night when she was asleep.  We don't know which one so she can't say thank you.  She said that she about screamed and that woke Pooh up.  Between the two of them the decided it was asleep.  Kyra wanted to wake me up but Pooh decided they better not because I wouldn't have been able to see it anyway.  I can't see a thing without my contacts!  Anyway Pooh decided the best thing to do was put it in an old shoe box and put it on the table.  I don't know what she would have done if I had opened it and screamed.  I told Kyra that I bet it was like an old Abbott and Costello show!  LOL  these kids are something let me tell you!

We are going up to see my dad tomorrow.  I am not looking forward to it.  There is just nothing to do.  It is so hard because he just falls asleep and we sit there.  I know it truly isn't that bad but you know what I mean.

Supper tonight is Lamb chops for Kirby and me, chicken wings for the girls and scrambled egss for the girls.  With that we will have Peppy pasta, fruit, green salad,  and brownies for dessert.

Got up helped Kirby fill thermos
for coffee, got his breakfast and then had a cup of coffee. Got the
girls up, French Braided Kyra's hair, got he beans in the crock, put
laundry in and started the dish washer. All before 3 am.

sat
for a bit and then started the roasts, switched the laundry, and
unloaded the dishwasher. Sent the wrestlers on the way to the windmill
and put the roasts on. Now I am making around 5 gallons of ice tea and
waiting for the roasts to be done and waiting for it to be time to head
over.

It is going to be a long day!!!!!! LOL

Supper is branding leftovers if people are lucky!  LOL

Thanks for Kohl's birthday wishes.  He had a good day was was a happy 9 year old.

Here ae a few pics from Pooh's band concert on the 12th.  It nice to see that she does enjoy the drumline stuff.  She has a good time with it this year.

Supper tonight is mexican Chicken Penne pasta Or something like that.  It is a new recipe.

Here is a pic of the set up at the front of the church. John was
cremated but his urn is in the pic. It is hard to see but it has a riderless horse on it.  You can't really see it in the pic but John's spurs are on the
boots, his work hat is on the saddle and his work gloves are woven in
his rope.  We also had a pic of a riderless horse off the the side but we had it put away before I remembered to take some pics.

Last night at the dinner Kohl was going around
kissing all of Poppa's pics. I think it is beginning to sink in the
Poppa is truly all gone. Kohl figured since Poppa wasn't around to kiss
he would kiss the pic.
