Good Morning!  Kirby says  thanks for the birthday wishes.

Things here go on as normal.  Take Pooh to the bus, have school, get supper ready and then get Pooh.  No that isn't a typo.  I get supper ready when I can and put it in the oven.  I have a timed oven that really helps with things.

Kirby is taking a bunch of stuff to market today.  There are quite a few bulls that are wither too old or have problems.

I just realized that I haven't posted pics of the chicks for a while.  Here they are.  I think they are ugly at this stage.  Kirby says that they are finally starting to not be ugly!  LOL







Not a whole lot else going on.

Supper tonight is Porcupine Meatballs over noodles, green salad, fruit, and leftover birthday cake for dessert.

Today my first born in 18.  I feel really old.  We aren't having her dinner until Sunday.  She is going to the movies with her friends tonight and have a pep band thing tomorrow.  So now I am going to bore you with Pics of Pooh through the years.

Good Morning.  Kirby took Pooh to school so I got a few things done and am now getting a post up.  I had every intention of getting one up yesterday but our new family member kind of stopped me from doing it. 

Meet Dante, the Deep Sink from Hell.  Or so Kirby christened him.



This was the other project that Kirby wanted a plumber to come out here and do.  Since we couldn't find anyone willing to come here we did ourselves.  It too quite a bit longer and was harder than we thought but it got done.  I am happy to have it.  My sinks in the kitchen are so shallow that I couldn't get my stock pots in to was them.  Thanks Hon!

Remember when I posted the pics of Pooh's band uniform?  I really don't think that they are too bad.  They seem a little old fashioned to me but that is kind of the mind set of the director.  He is younger than me but he acts like he is 100.  After marching band practice some of the girls were linking arms and taking a few steps and then kicking.  They were just having some fun and being teen aged girls.  Anyway, He got on them and told them that it wasn't appropriate.  He is a great director he sucks the fun out it for them.  Anyway, Pooh brought the hats home that he got to go with the uniforms.  She had told me that they looked like Bobby hat's but I never thought they would look like this.



I would like to tell him that they just wreck the uniforms but I just can't think of a tactful way to say it.  When Pooh showed them to us all we could do was laugh uncontrollably.  I know I shouldn't have but it was all I could do.  I mean I think and writing and telling him that the hats look like they should be burnt and given a proper funeral doesn't seem quite right.  Do any of you have an idea?

Not much else going on.  We set out shipping date for the 26th of this month.  I know it sounds like it is a long ways off but time is just passing so fast.

Supper tonight is Easy Enchiladas, corn on the cob, fruit, green salad and brownies for dessert.

Good Morning!  Made it to Billings and back , got our shopping done and didn't strangle anyone.  We were to Costco early so that helped.

Here is a pic of Smokie and Rowdy.  Rowdy is licking Smokie.  What you need to know is that They don't like each other.  I wasn't here when the pic was taken.  The girls took it so I don't know for sure what was going on.  I see Rowdy licking Smokie lately.  I wish I knew what was going through their minds sometime.



I have a batch of breaad raising for cinnamon rolls.  I will get a batch made up tomorrow too.  Then freeze them up for shipping.  I just want to get them done so I don't have to worry about them.

Kirby and the hired hand are riding to start moving the pairs closer to the scales.  If it isn't raining tomorrow they will raide again.  I am betting that it will be though.  I know I sould like an old lady but my knee is hurting like it does when it is going to rain.

One of the barn cats that we got has run off.  We just aren't having much luck with them.  The one that is left is scared to death and you really have to coax her to get her to come out.  I don't know if she will make it as a barn cat or not.  I would hate to have to take her back. Round steak and tortellini, corn on the cob, fruit, green salad, and Carmelina bars for dessert.

Good Morning.  Off to Billings to get our first of the month done.  Of course it is supposed to be 95 today.

since my last post.

• Cats are fickle creatures that one day can't live without you and the next care couldn't care less about you.
• Little 9 year old boys are silly
• The same little 9 year old boy does things when he is darn good and ready!
• Everyone seems to have plans for this weekend but us.
• Hot water heaters are a PITB to put in and plumbers earn e4very penny they make and then some.
• If you are persistent and ignore the bumps and bruises you will triumph over stubborn water heaters!
• I don't think that we are meant to have barn cats.

It is amazing the little things you learn in 48 hours!  LOL

Not much going on here.  Pooh has the first pep band thing Saturday.  Kirby and I are going in for first of the month shopping so she will get to drive herself in. 

Here is Bella and Tuff.  Kirby found Tuff at the end of June.  He had been wandering a pasture without his mom for about 2 weeks.  Thus the name Tuff.  Bella is our fat animal that refuses to get fat.  Defense Mechanism I guess!  LOL  They have become pretty good friends.



Supper tonight is Steak, tater in the crock, corn on the cob, fruit, green salad, and something for dessert.

Good Morning!  Off to the bus for the first time this year.  Kohl isn't going to be happy.  He will get into the routine but it could take a while.

The ranch pick up the hired man drives died yesterday.  He was about 6 miles away.  Luckily he had his saddle and was able to ride his horse home.  Kirby and I will have to take it in this afternoon.  Darn thing.  I hope the shop we take it to this time can fix the darn thing!

Supper tonight is cube steak, corn on the cob that Kirby got in town yesterday, fruit, and some green salad.  Something for dessert but I don't know what.

Added:  I just got back from a walk with Kyra, Kohl, Lucky and Buddy, the barn cat.

Good Morning.  What a morning.  The first day of school.  Pooh was pretty impressed with herself.  She got to drive in today.  The first time we have her.  Her Senior year.  I just can't quite believe it.  I know it sounds stupid but I am having a hard time with it.  I always say that motherhood is the only job that your goal is to work yourself out of a job.

Well, sort of Kohl and Kyra start today too.  Well, sort of, my printer isn't working and Kirby is getting a new one today so we are making do.  He got a new one yesterday when he was in but it won't work for us so he will return it and get another when he is in today.

Supper tonight is Oven fried Chicken, taters, fruit, green salad, and ice cream with Homemade chocolate sauce for dessert.

It is humid and nasty here this morning.  I can deal with hot but humid it not my thing!

Went into Billings yesterday and saw an old friend.  We hadn't seen her in about two years.  We had a nice visit.

We were without water for 24 hours.  I don't understand how I can be so behind on laundry in that time.  i am getting caught up though.  The wire that took the electricity to the submersible was bad.  Got that fixed and it worked fine.

I am in town Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week.  Tuesday Pooh has a dentist appointment and I have a haircut, Wednesday I have an eye appointment and Thursday Kohl has speech.  Then we have 3 weeks off.  I think he is ready for a small break before we hit is hard again when school starts.
