My FIL passed away this morning. He was in the corral roping and had a massive heart attack. They did CPR for an hour before the paramedic got there. They only had a pulse when they were doing compressions. When the paramedic got there they hooked him up to the machines and said there was nothing they could do he was gone.
He was to the dr. a few months ago and they said he was in good health. they did shake his finger at him for smoking but we all knew that wasn't going to stop.
Talk about a shock. He went doing what he loved. He went with his boots on. He didn't go to a nursing home and linger.
We are still in the process of figuring out service and as such.
Good Bye John you will be missed.

Oh my heavens, Mae!
I'm sorry for your loss.
If you're going to go, that's the way to do it.....doing what you love best.
How old was he?
That is a shock. I'm very sorry for your family. How is Kirby doing with it? Glad though that he went the way he would have wanted it.
I am very sorry for your loss. You are right though, if you gotta go it is much better to go doing what you love. Still, what a shock for your whole family.
So sorry for your loss. At least he was doing something he loved.
OH MY! Praying for all of you during the days, weeks and months ahead!
Praying for you and your family during this sad time. {Hugs}
